Membership:

Joining the Sisterhood is easy.  Just RSVP and show up at the next scheduled meeting.  Be our guest and check your first meeting out on us.  If you like what you see and want to join, you will be asked to agree to and sign the Sisterhood Commitment to Greatness. 

Stay motivated and informed on your own journey to Greatness with monthly membership meetings.  Hear from wellness leaders as well as those who have been in the trenches. Share your own story and inspire others. Become a part of our community. Lead and be led, feed and be fed.

What you get: 

  • Monthly social & educational meetings with Sister tips, guest speakers, instruction, sharing circle, and featured recipe of the month. 
  • Periodic newsletter filled with more information, tips, and ideas for living great
  • Ten monthly meetings per year plus special events and celebrations.

Group Fitness:

OneTough Sister: Sport Support

Training for your first 5K? 1/2 Marathon? Olympic distance triathlon?  Looking for a training partner (or maybe several)?  If drills, sprints, and pushing your limits sounds like your idea of fun, the OTS project might be the right fit for you.  This project is different than a running or tri club - we don't just train for races.  OTS provides a whole-person conditioning program year-round, backed by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) guidelines and delivered with a healthy, non-judgemental approach.  Programs are offered throughout the year, as well as our very own mini-mock Triathlon series to give our members the feeling of the race without all the extra pressures and fears.  Mini-mock tri's are held at a pool and have an extra-short course to let even the newest-newbie enjoy the thrill of the sport.

New for 2009: Soul Sister

Not a softer side, but physically less agressive, the Soul Sister project beckons us to mindfully integrate our bodies and minds, listen to our inner wisdom, and tap into our God-given abilities.  This project was designed to compliment any fitness routine, but could also be done on its own.  All fitness levels are welcome to join in on lessons in yoga, qigong, guided meditations, free-writing, and more.

What you get with Neighborhood Group Fitness and Sport Support:

  • A choice of fitness classes offerred at a variety of days and times to meet your schedule. 
  • No limits on the number of classes you can participate in.
  • Certified trainers who are skilled in both the physical as well as the spritual aspects of leading you to your best.No judgement or criticisms here. 
  • Workbooks and materials as appropriate
  • Fresh material and focus each month

 

Small Group Intensive: Journey to Greatness Workgroups

Where it all began!  This is our foundation, what Sisterhood is all about.  The 8 prinicpals of greatness explored on a weekly basis with demonstration, conversation, inpiration, exploration, and ahhhhh exhalation.  Each weekly lesson involves learning new mind-body postures or movements, a fitness component, lifestyle challenges, and nutrition checklists.  Groups are kept small for maximum benefit.

What you get on the Journey to Greatness:
  • Weekly small group meetings to walk you through the Journey to Greatness workbook, where you'll learn specific methods for living your own life of greatness. Demonstrations, checklists, journaling, and instruction provided. 
  • Resistance band and Sisterhood tshirt
  • Workbook / printed materials
  • Led by trained facilitators, who have been through the project themselves.
  • As part of this project you're invited to participate in an unlimited number of the neighorhood group fitness offerings (that suits your fitness level and goals).
